Channel two is True Blues, through the gain sweep, reaching crunchy lead tones up at the highest gain settings. and with tweaking, well there’s a literal metric ton of tones from cleanest cleans (like a Hiwatt/fender by way of Plexi sort of clean, which gains up nice last about 1 o’clock). I just loved the sounds i was getting from the default setting.

My jaw hit the floor and I literally Played for five minutes without twisting a single knob (for a tweaker freaker like myself, this is a literal LIFETIME.

Seriously, the first notes you’ll hear, which is from the default setting on channel, are astounding. They all fit the characteristics of the VH4, and almost all of them save for a handful that require additional tweaking, I would consider mix ready. And honestly they were pretty thorough in Mic’ing and with the variety of tones available across the different cabs (even within the same cab, the breadth of tonal options is frankly astounding, and all absurdly crisp and well captured responses). Nice little bit of variety from the standard 4x12, and easily my preferred cabinet to play through with this sim), and a Suhr 4x12. It doesn’t have an external IR feature, but the five cabinets included, the glass Diezel 4x12, Marshall 1960TV 4x12, Mesa 4x12, Orange 2x12 (I’m glad they used a 2x12 here, as I have ownhammer’s 4x12, and this is just an amazing sounding cab, from every position. I saw it on my YouTube feed, Where Ola was demoing it, and I purchased it before the video was done playing. On par with nameless! Here’s a too-long comment/mini review/war & peace rambling comment I made in the VST sub after spending six hours straight just blown away by the quality of this sim: So why not impart the Avalon sound into your next vocal production.Dopest amp sim I’ve tried in a while. The UA Avalon VT-737sp is officially endorsed by Avalon Design. They then captured the class-A tube amplifier section, LED-style optical compression, and discrete four-band EQ providing users with all the textures and sonics of the legendary hardware. It’s all very well making models of hardware but the crack team at Universal Audio found a golden unit 737sp and set about first recreating the mic preamp impedance and one of a kind front-end characteristics. From Babyface and Beyoncé to Eric Clapton, the Rolling Stones, and more, the VT-737sp is considered by some to be one of the finest and sweetest sounding vocal front-ends available and now it is available to UAD-2 users. If you want top-quality radio-ready pop vocals then Avalon’s flagship VT-737sp channel strip is widely regarded as the best selling standalone channel strip ever made and is a great place to start.
